Meadows Field serves as the main airport of Bakersfield, California, and is owned by Kern County. It is also known as Kern County Airport #1. It is situated on Skyway Drive at a distance of about seven miles north of the City of Bakersfield, in Kern County, California.

It has a two-level passenger terminal building which is divided into two terminals as:

Domestic Terminal: It is named as William M. Thomas Terminal and includes four gates. It takes care of all domestic flights at the airport. It is built on a hill and allows for all passenger services on the second level, whilst airport services are on the first.

International Terminal: It is named as Kern County Air Terminal
and includes two open air gates. It takes care of all international flights at the airport.

Parking area is also available at the airport which includes both short-term parking and long-term parking facilities with first 30 minutes of free parking in short-term parking lot. The different means of ground transport to travel between Meadows Field Airport and nearby destinations include cars on rent, taxis, and bus services.
